a week in La Jolla.

Okay friends here it is. All of our (Marc’s and my) shots from our week in La Jolla back in July of 2019. Our time was spent podcasting, swimming in the ocean, napping on the beach, walking Craig (the best dog EVER), eating tacos, writing, making music, and becoming inspired.

Let’s start with the most important: This is Craig (find him on IG at @ljrottweiler). His parents were so kind to offer us the opportunity to watch over him while they were in Alaska. He is the absolute best boy.

Next we have a little photo shoot I like to refer to as “Taco Tuesday”. If you’re ever in La Jolla, Marc and I HIGHLY recommend making your way down to “Crab Catcher Restaurant” on a Tuesday evening for their delicious fish tacos. They also have great deals on cocktails during happy hour… just sayin’.

Also HUGE shoutout to Marc for matching the scenery that night. When in doubt, find an aesthetically pleasing alley way to hold an impromptu photo shoot for at least 30 minutes.

Fun story, there was some sort of fancy convention taking place at the pretty pink hotel we shot these photos behind and if you look closely at the first photo, you’ll see some well dressed ladies on the balcony. Also, Marc and I highly considered crashing the party.

Instead we opted to have our own private dance parties and pretend the music from the convention was our own personal background track.

During our walk around the La Jolla Village, Marc ran into a dear friend and one of Dr. Seuss’ most memorable characters outside of the Legend’s Art Gallery. We decided to look inside and were kindly greeted by Luke . It was a fun time filled with learning about the incredible life of Theodore Seuss Geisel and talking with Luke about art and writing. Oh the things we didn’t know. You can find Legends Gallery on Insta, just follow the link below!

Because

Yes , and when you’re in La Jolla I HIGHLY recommend visiting Black’s Beach. Marc always talked about going here and I had no idea what all the fuss was about…. until we went and ran sprints on the beach and immediately jumped in the ocean afterwards. THE BEST.

Also, mini coopers make the best photo props.

When traveling, trips to Costco can be fun. Be warned, the nearest Costco to La Jolla no longer sells gelato.
